In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, SOE organized a cultural event titled "Full Moon in Mid-Autumn Festival, Reunion in CIIT", welcoming over 30 international students from Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.

The event was honored by the presence of Fei Jianming, Dean of SOE, along with Jiang Xiaodan, Secretary of the General Party Branch, and Zhou Juan, Vice Dean of SOE.

Fei Jianming extended a warm welcome to the class of 2024 and conveyed heartfelt wishes for the festival. Addressing the gathering, Jiang Xiaodan encouraged the international students to master the Chinese language and deepen their appreciation of traditional Chinese culture, advocating for them to share positive stories about China. Zhou Juan further motivated the participants to engage actively in the study and promotion of Mandarin, emphasizing its role as a tool for fostering mutual understanding and friendship.

In a display of their linguistic skills, the international students recited classic Mid-Autumn Festival poems, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience. With the assistance of teachers and volunteers, they also engaged in calligraphy, writing down these poetic verses, and created original sketches inspired by the festive theme, conveying their festive greetings.

The leaders from SOE presented holiday gift bags to the international students, wishing them success in their academic endeavors and a fulfilling experience during their time abroad.

This Mid-Autumn Festival event is part of an ongoing series aimed at introducing international students to Chinese culture. CIIT is committed to fostering an open and inclusive learning atmosphere, regularly organizing a variety of traditional Chinese cultural experiences around festivals such as the Spring Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Mid-Autumn Festival, providing a unique opportunity for students to gain a deeper insight into Chinese traditions and values.
