A sentence in which two or more verbs or verbal constructions are used as the predicate of the same subject is called a sentence with verbal constructions in series.
①The predicate of a sentence with verbal constructions in series may be only two verbs. For example:
我去找。
他们来参观。
②The predicate verbs of a sentence with verbal constructions in series may both take objects or only one of them may take an objects. For example:
我去找他。
我去宿舍找他。
③An adverbial adjunct, if there is any, is normally placed before the first predicate verb. For example:
他想乘车去。
小张要买一份说明书看。
④The negative form is generally made by placing the negative adverb 不 or 没有 before the first predicate verb. For example:
他们不去旅游了。
我没挨他坐。
