From May 15th to 16th, the Bank of China Cup National Vocational College Skills Competition Jiangsu Provincial Selection Competition (beverage service project), jointly hosted by 16 departments including Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, was held in Changzhou. A total of 13 participating teams and 26 contestants participated in this competition. Xi Haitao, secetary of CPC Committee of CIIT, and Zhou Li, vice president of CIIT, inspected the competition.
In order to highlight the standardization, authenticity, work flow, and professionalization, the beverage service competition has intended theoretical knowledge exams, as well as practical competitions for sommelier service and cocktail preparation, with a focus on examining the core skills and professional qualities of the contestants. Contestants Liu Mengjie and Gu Xian from CIIT performed stably and excellently, successfully qualifying and representing Jiangsu Province in the coming national vocational college skills competition (beverage service project).
