In order to let international students perceive Chinese tea culture in the field and deepen their understanding of Chinese traditional culture, Juan Zhou, Vice Dean of Overseas Education School of Changzhou Vocational Institute of Industry Technology (CIIT), led some international students to Chengwan Village in the middle of Xueyan Town on March 28, which is located in the Taihu Lake Bay Tourist Resort. The village has an area of 5.8 square kilometers, including 170 acres of tea gardens. The ecological environment can be described as smooth rivers, clear water, green banks, and beautiful scenery.

It is such a delight to have friends coming from afar. The tea farmers' hospitality moved the international friends from Bangladesh and Pakistan. From the hands-on experience of tea picking, tea making, tea serving, and tea sipping, the young guys have learned about the richness and depth of Chinese tea culture, reinforced their interest in learning Chinese culture, and enhanced their confidence in understanding Chinese culture.

CIIT adheres to the educational philosophy of being student-centered. "The college is committed to combining classroom learning on campus and community practice off campus, and connecting the first and second classrooms in the cultivation of international students, to ensure that their professional learning is integrated with excellent traditional Chinese culture," said Jianming Fei, Dean of Overseas Education School of CIIT.
