On the afternoon of March 21, Chen Baosheng, Minister and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of Ministry of Education, accompanied by Wang Jiang, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, Ge Daokai, Director of the Provincial Department of Education, and Ding Chun, Mayor of Changzhou City, came to Changzhou Science and Education Town to urge the implementation of the Outline of the Development Plan of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and conduct surveys for the construction of the Yangtze River Education Innovation Belt.Miao Changwu, Secretary of the Party Committee of CZIIT, and Yang Jinsong, President of CZIIT participated in the survey activities.
At the survey meeting, Ding Chun, on behalf of Changzhou, reported on the development of Changzhou’s education reform featuring the pattern of “high quality of basic education, high level of vocational education, distinctive higher education and effective lifelong education”. In particular, he introduced a typical case of talent cultivation in CZIIT that in 2009 Deng Jianjun, an outstanding graduate, was appraised as one of the 100 people who moved China since the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Chen Baosheng emphasized that the talent training mode of “integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation” in Changzhou Science and Education Town deserves systematic summary and promotion.Chen Baosheng pointed out that Changzhou Science and Education Town should actively serve the Yangtze River Economic Zone Development and other major national development strategies, focus on the national science and technology innovation strategy, and tailor education to local industrial demands, to provide strong support for the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Zone.
