On December 25th, Jiang Yunnan, Secretary of the Party General Branch of Best Garment Group, led a delegation to visit CIIT, conducting research and exchanges on the topics of in-depth school-enterprise cooperation and joint cultivation of international students. Vice President Tan Zhuping attended the meeting, which was presided over by Jiang Xiaodan, Secretary of the Party General Branch of the School of General Education and Physical Education.
Tan Zhuping extended a warm welcome to Secretary Jiang Yunnan and the delegation, and comprehensively briefed the visiting guests on CIIT’s running status, as well as the exploration, practice and achievements in industry-education integration and vocational education internationalization in recent years. He pointed out that CIIT has always adhered to the educational philosophy of school-enterprise coordination, integration of knowledge and practice, and has established a diversified cooperation system with many enterprises, including the joint construction of overseas talent training bases, order-based talent cultivation, on-the-job training for enterprise staff, enterprise practice for university teachers, and internship and employment for graduated international students. Notably, the targeted cultivation of Myanmar international students in China project jointly launched by CIIT and enterprises in 2019 has achieved remarkable results, accurately training more than ten professional backbones for enterprises’ branches in Myanmar and strongly supporting the steady expansion of enterprises’ overseas business.
Jiang Yunnan introduced the development history, industry status and overseas strategic layout of Best Garment Group. He stated that Best Garment Group has actively responded to the national Going Global strategy, and has been expanding overseas markets since 2014. Currently, the group owns multiple factories in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and other regions, achieving leapfrog development in international operation. He also shared the group’s measures to fulfill social responsibilities, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and commitment of private entrepreneurs, and expressed the hope to further deepen cooperation with CIIT in joint cultivation of international students and industry-university-research collaborative innovation.
After the meeting, Jiang Yunnan and the delegation held a face-to-face discussion with representatives of international students studying at CIIT. Both sides had in-depth exchanges with the international students on optimizing the joint cultivation mode, expanding overseas training programs, and building employment and entrepreneurship channels, extensively solicited their opinions and suggestions, and reached a preliminary consensus on further promoting cooperation.
Relevant staff from the International and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, and the School of General Education and Physical Education participated in the meeting.
