On the evening of November 29th, the Final of the 2023 “I Love Changzhou” International Student Chinese Speech Competition was held grandly in Lecture Hall 3201 of Zhixing Building of CIIT, which served as the selection competition for the coming municipal competition.
Yang Jinsong, Deputy Secretary of the CIIT Committee of CPC and President of CIIT, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. “So as to respond to the Belt and Road Initiative CIIT is committed to promoting international talent training, standing out from the rest as easily the best. I hope that you can take advantage of the colourful activities during your stay in the college, deepening your understanding of Changzhou's history and culture,” said Yang.
Focusing on the theme of "I Love Changzhou" the contestants talked about their impression of Changzhou, praising the tremendous achievements made in Changzhou's economic and social development.
Besides some leaders from relevant departments on campus, Jiang Yue from Changzhou Education Bureau and Zhang Wenjuan from Changzhou Municipal Government Foreign Affairs Office also attended the competition and presented awards to the award-winning contestants.
