On August 2, Xi Haitao, who is secretary of the CIIT Committee of the Communist Party of China, and a doctor of organic chemistry graduating from Nanjing University, paid a visit to Zenith Steel Group Company Limited, a state-level iron and steel complex covering diversified industries such as steel, logistics, hotel, real estate, education, investment, and foreign trade, which was founded in 2001 with Changzhou as its headquarter.
At the symposium, after the group leader’s welcome speech, Xi Haitao highly recognized the industry development of Zenith Steel Group Company Limited from traditional manufacturing to digital transformation. He suggested relying on Zenith Steel Engineer College in the context of the digital era to cultivate on-site engineer talents for digital steel plants，who understand technology, know management, are good at collaboration, and can innovate, promoting the construction of a national green industry-education integration community in the field of casting and forging. Meanwhile, he expressed appreciation for the development of the group's digital twin technology and hoped that the group would provide technical support for CIIT to build a digital twin technology teaching platform, and jointly cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents.
