On the afternoon of June 16th, CIIT’s craftsman-type talent training mode featuring on-site engineers, mixed tutors, and two “grippers” (classroom teaching reform and top-notch cultivation) was broadcast live by China Education Television Channel 4 (CETV4) "Access to Vocational College Admissions" column, with vice president Yao Qingwen, director of the Enrollment and Employment Office Bai Tieshan, and deputy director of the office Lei Chen, being the guest speakers.
In the 30-minute interaction with the host, the three guests mainly introduced that determining its profession clusters based on industry and local economic needs, CIIT goes all out to cultivate modern artisans who combine skills with integrity, to assist local economic development.
Targeting at advanced industries such as new energy, new materials, intelligent manufacturing, say, core parts of automobiles, the college boasts 2 Jiangsu Provincial high-level professional groups (Mechatronics technology professional group, numerical control technology professional group), 5 high-level backbone majors in Jiangsu Province including polymer materials and intelligent manufacturing technology, to cultivate modern craftsmen in the direction of digitalization, networking, intelligence and greening, said Yao Qingwen.
Yao Qingwen took pride in the fact that as a high-level vocational college with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu Province, realizing the great importance of the collaborative training of on-site engineers between colleges and enterprises, CIIT has established a regional cooperation alliance and a new energy vehicle industry-education integration community, etc., to establish training bases in industrial parks and reconstruct majors intended for the industrial chain.
