The excellent works exhibition of the 6th Macao International Contemporary Illustration Competition went first in the Xitaihu Lake Art Gallery on June 8. Yang Fen, member of the Standing Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China Changzhou Municipal Committee, attended the opening ceremony.
The Macau International Contemporary Illustration Competition sponsored by China Cultural Industry Promotion Association began in 2014 and has attracted over 6000 participants. The theme of the 6th competition is "City Memory: Forest Tales". Forests are the most primitive home for human survival, simple and romantic dreams of ancient ancestors, and an eternal source of artistic creation. With large-scale urbanization, people's lifestyles and concepts have quietly changed to some degree. Nowadays people find themselves closer to "forest", kind of poetic habitat. Over 2000 pieces of works were collected from designers, artists, and creative individuals worldwide within one year, and 194 pieces of outstanding works were selected for exhibition. The works present very diverse images due to their diverse creative backgrounds.
Changzhou is serving as the first stop of this tour in mainland China, and the exhibition will last until June 20th.
