This year's May Day holiday, the first golden week free from strict pandemic prevention and control, as well as the fine weather, was luring people’s enthusiasm for travel, so most scenic spots featured large tourist flow. Hopefully unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) displayed their advantages in monitoring busy scenic spots.
Jiangsu Sanyi Aviation Development Co., Ltd. undertakes the scenic spot inspection throughout the whole province approved by Jiangsu Provincial Culture and Tourism Department. 9 students including Zhou Junqiang and Shi Zhongjun of the UAV major of Changzhou Vocational Institute of Industry Technology had been selected as inspectors. Over the holiday, armed with UAVs, they appeared in Lianyungang Huaguo Mountain, Qinhu Lake Scenic spot in Taizhou, Huaian River Ancient Town, Lianyungang Liandao Island Tourism Resort, Lianyungang Sea Yuntai Mountain, Changzhou Dinosaur Park, and Changzhou Frolic Valley. They successfully completed five days of monitoring tasks, and were praised by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
In recent years, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been more and more applied in urban management. With its advantages of rapid operation, real-time data collection and transmission, UAVs have become devices for urban management in the air, improving daily law enforcement, inspection and prevention and control to help refine urban management. Its high-altitude wide-angle can make up for the narrowness of the human inspector's perspective, and effectively upgrade the level of fine management of the scenic spot.
